Articles new does not honor smart spawning

Reported by Priit Tamboom | December 15th, 2008 @ 11:47 AM | in Release 0.1.1

i hit critical bug and confirmed by others, when running adva with mod_rack with default settings then admin/sites/1/sections/1/articles/new does not have input fields (so user cannot add any articles).

When I turn mod_rack from smart spawning to conservative spawning then it works.

Temp workaround, add to yor Apache2 sites-enabled config: RailsSpawnMethod conservative

Next question, how should we test it, any hints?

That sounds pretty weird to me. I can not confirm that right now because I haven't any mod_rack set up.

My first guess would be that this bug could be related to the split_form_for helper that's being used on this page (which allows to split a form across multiple content_for slugs). Maybe that's incompatible somehow?

Wild rumours say it might be fixed already.

I'm pretty sure this is fixed.

There was a problem with Rails' #capture helper behaving differently when running on Mongrel or Passenger. We've fixed that.

There was another problem with Passenger crashing because we used the Thread.current hash for keeping track of the current site. I've changed that, too.

I've changed the tag to "mod_rails"

This what I see in my console after starting the server with both Passenger and just 'script/server'

As you can see, Passenger still doesn't work as of Jan 27th with what's in the master branch.

Scratch that! I simply needed to update my Site's :host attribute to recognize the new location. I've just verified that I can take a working site, update the adva_cms submodule, and get running on Passenger successfully. Thanks!
