Can't uploads files as Assets in IE

Reported by Glenn Sidney | February 9th, 2009 @ 11:12 PM

I directed a client to edit an Article and use the Assets file uploader, and it didn't work. I asked him to try in FireFox and it worked with no problems. I guess it's probably just a javascript error in IE.

    From line 22, change to:

    	selectedTab: function(element) {
    		return this.tabs.detect(function(tab){ return $(tab).hasClassName('selected') })
    	selectFirstTab: function() {
    		var tab = this.tabs.detect(function(tab){
    			return $(tab).visible();

    The change is that 'tab' becomes '$(tab)'. The 'detect' function doesn't return the objects as Prototype elements so .visible() fails in IE. This fixes the bug where you can't traverse the tabs of the Assets widget. However now uploading a file simply gives the flash error 'The asset upload failed.'

    I hope that helps

    Hi Glenn,

    thanks for the report and suggestion. Currently we have some major issues with the layout of adva-cms on IE, so this ticket is on hold untill we have fixed some of the major problems.
